What is SDN48?SDN48 (short for Saturday Night 48) is a Japanese female idol group, created and produced by Yasushi Akimoto, as a sister group to the massively successful AKB48, but with a different target audience in mind. SDN48 was created based on an "adult idol" concept, to appeal to a more mature fan-base. Former AKB48 member Kayo Noro was chosen as the captain of the group. In November 2010, the group made their major label debut with "GAGAGA", under Universal Music.
